Geelong District

The Geelong District began with one meeting back in 1955 and now eleven groups offer 19 meetings varying from ID meetings, discussion,  theme, Steps plus our very own Chapter Six Meeting. We have a meeting at lunchtime Monday to Saturday, plus meetings each evening

The District continues to handle Third Legacy work and all Twelfth Step work in the city and suburbs of Geelong .

Portfolios include Correctional Facilities (Marngoneet and Barwon Prisons); Treatment Facilities (Geelong Withdrawal Unit and Geelong Clinic); phone and twelve step roster; PI&CPC c’tee work tirelessly to spread the AA message; plus annual Geelong Anniversary each October/November.

District committee meets bimonthly 10.30am at Church of Christ Hall cnr Little Myers Street (cnr LaTrobe Terrace). Positions currently up for rotation include DCM and Treasurer if anyone is interested. Future meetings are on 2 July, 3 September & 5 November.
