The
Area D/Southern Region Assembly
has okayed the publication of a
quarterly
Area
Newsletter.
The first will
be
published in January
2010. A
copy
will be
available
here on the website, or
you can
have a copy sent to your email
address.
All
members are encouraged to
subscribe to the electronic
version to keep up with
what's happening
in the
Area. Perhaps you can also
do some
service by
printing a copy to take
to your
Group for those that don't
have access to
email or the internet!

While not required, we would
appreciate
you
including
your first name and
telephone
number so that we can contact you
if
we
have
problems sending the
Newsletter to
you.
Please
remember
to advise us if your

How to Contribute:
Submission
of articles for the Newsletter in
accordance with the Guidelines
approved by the Area
Assembly (see the
relevant extract
below) can also be
forwarded to this
address.
CONTENT
1.
The
Newsletter
published by Area D
will generally
include:
- local
AA
news,
information about
Groups
and
committees;
- an
item
of approx 500
words
solicited for each
edition
on some aspect
of
service,
written by a member
with
experience in
particular
aspects of
service, or
with a particular
perspective.
- District
reports;
- A
Calendar
of Events
feature.
- Public
Information
update
2.
News
letters
may
also
include:
- A
theme
on some aspect
of the AA
program and
using excerpts
from
Conference
Approved
material
(with proper
credit)
relating to the
theme;
- reprinted
material
from AA literature (also
with proper credit);
- A
disclaimer
that a
rticles
published
in this Newsletter are
the
experience and opinion of the
author,
and
are
not
necessarily
the opinion of
AA.
3.
In
general, the Newsletter will NOT
print:
- Personal
stories
(except as
they relate to
service);
- Editorial
or
controversy;
- Reference
to
Non-Conference
Approved
Literature
